AAUOPQC was proud to present an unforgettable Sri Lankan cultural show featuring the exceptional talents of Ranwala Balakaya. Held on 28th February 2026, the event brought together the local community to celebrate the richness of Sri Lankan heritage while supporting a meaningful cause. Guests enjoyed performances by renowned artists including Sahan Ranwala, Amandya Uthpalie, Neel Senanayake, Nadun Kularathne, and other talented performers, making the evening both inspiring and memorable.

“Yakku Bolaw” beautifully captured the vibrant spirit and cultural depth of Sri Lanka through a spectacular display of energetic traditional drumming, graceful dance performances, and striking costumes. Each performance reflected the colour, rhythm, and diversity of Sri Lankan traditions, creating an atmosphere that was both lively and deeply meaningful. The audience was immersed in an experience filled with captivating sights and sounds, transporting them into a world that celebrated the beauty, history, and artistic richness of Sri Lankan culture.

Beyond the entertainment, the event also achieved a very meaningful outcome by generating around AUD 7,000 in profit. These funds will be donated back to the University of Peradeniya for student welfare, including support for scholarships and mental health initiatives for current undergraduates. The show was not only a celebration of culture and community, but also a heartfelt effort to give back and make a positive difference in the lives of students.
