Sri Lanka Day Fruit Juice Stall
31 Aug 2025
We held our second fundraiser on 31 August 2025 at the Sri Lanka Day event, a vibrant showcase of the Sri Lankan spirit in Brisbane. Thanks to your unwavering dedication and selfless spirit, we raised a remarkable $2,500 for our association fund, a powerful testament to our collective efforts. This achievement signifies more than just a number; it tells a story of community and resilience. Many of us, along with our spouses, managed demanding family responsibilities and personal challenges, yet chose to dedicate our time and energy to serve at our stall. Your willingness to go above and beyond, often at a personal sacrifice, captures the true essence of giving back and inspires us all to continue this journey of kindness and solidarity.
First, the committee of the Alumni Association of the University of Peradeniya Queensland Chapter (AAUOPQC) extends heartfelt thanks to all alumni and the broader community for attending this event and supporting us as our customers. We are also deeply grateful to those who lent a hand at our bustling stall. The experience was incredible, with nonstop sales throughout the day.
It was truly moving to see both members and non-members coming together to help, nurturing a vibrant spirit of unity. The work accomplished at our stall reflects a commitment larger than any individual; it embodies a shared journey of “Giving Back” and building hope for those at our university who need it.
